My Client is an NHS Dental Practice in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. We are working seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Dentist with NHS Performer status to join their existing Dental team.
The post holder should meet the following criteria, and personal specification:-

Contract Details:
• Self-Employed
• Dental Nurse
• Part-time

Mandatory Requirements:
• GDC registered Dental Nurse (or working towards qualification)
• Relevant Dental Nursing qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or equivalent)
• Active NHS Performer Number (or eligibility to hold one)
• Valid indemnity insurance cover
• Enhanced DBS check
• Right-to-Work in UK
• Provide two referees we can contact for a reference

Key Responsibilities:
Duties include (but not limited to):-
• Chair side assistance
• Changing needles
• Sterilization and Preparation of all Dental Equipment
• Knowledge of claiming Dental Treatment fees (advantageous)
• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatments and procedures
• Providing excellent patient care, offering reassurance and guidance before, during, and after treatments
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and CQC regulations
• Managing stock levels and ordering dental supplies as required
• Supporting reception duties when needed, including booking appointments and handling patient queries
• Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a high standard of HTM 01-05, and infection control guidelines

Compliance & Administration
• Maintain accurate patient records using the practice’s electronic software
• Adhere to infection control guidelines as dictated by HTM 01-05 and the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
• Participate in clinical audits to sustain high standards of clinical governance
• Manage UDA delivery efficiently to meet contractual NHS obligations.

Team Collaboration
• Support the local clinical team of Dentists, Hygienists, and Therapists
• Communicate effectively with the administrative and practice management staff

Desirable Criteria
• Experience with dental software (e.g., R4, SOE or Dentally etc.).

Experience:
The post holder must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a dental nurse, with GDC registration, and able to provide 2 references.
