An exciting opportunity exists to become part of our existing Dental team as a Dental Business/Practice Manager.

HOURS; 40+ (may include some late evenings, and saturdays by agreement)
COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS; Covid-19 Secure Measures in place throughout the practice. Hep B and Covid Vaccinations (and boosters if required) is essential for this role.
 
ABOUT US;
Our Client is in Grimsby and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There is level access to the practice for people who use wheelchairs and those with pushchairs. Car parking spaces are available near the practice. The dental team includes six dentists, 10 dental nurses, a decontamination technician, a dental hygienist, a dental therapist, a clinical dental technician, two receptionists and two practice managers. The practice has six treatment rooms and uses CS R4 Clinical Software program as their main database for patient records. The practice is open: Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 5:30pm, and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

The specific duties will usually be defined by the practice according to its day-to-day priority needs and will be influenced by the strength of your management skills and the capabilities of your team. Ultimately it is the role of a Practice Manager to manage whatever your practice needs.
 
The Practice Manager should work closely with every member of your team to enable you to identify each individual’s strengths, weakness and skillset, assign tasks based on competencies, reducing the risk of anyone being overwhelmed or resistant to extra workload.
 
ROUTINE DUTIES;
>Responsibility for the day to day running of the practice
>Motivation and drive to make your Practice a success
>Managing and motivating staff
>Ability to delegate relevant responsibilities to the competent staff, and monitor performance
>Managing the clinical governance system and maintaining practice policies
>Working in a fully computerised practice using R4 software
>Will be responsible for driving your practices performance by delivering set objectives relating to revenue targets, KPIs and cost management
>Compliance with CQC regulations and focusing to become and CQC registered manager A DBS check will be required for this role.
>Stock and inventory control
>Management of dentist's diaries and UDA targets
>Financial management of the practice
>Induction of support staff and dentists

THE POST HOLDER; 
Is expected to have the following skills and experience,
>A good working knowledge of what it takes to be a compliant CQC and NHS and Private practice
>Have experience in private practice or a knowledge of what it involves, and where dentistry is going
>Management experience including conducting one-to-ones, performance reviews, and managing staff development (essential)
>Strong Business / Managerial Skills / Marketing.
>Motivated, organised, reliable and has a strong sense of commitment
>An effective leader & team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to lead by example attitude.
>Able to drive the team, with strong relationship building skills with staff as well as patients
>Enjoys interaction with people
>Experience of delivering excellent customer service and communication skills and telephone manner
>Empathetic, friendly and caring
>Good IT/Computer skills
>Well presented, reliable, supportive & professional.

Experience
Minimum 1 Year experience working in a Dental Practice.
Qualifications
MSc in Business Management, or equivalent qualification.
