REPORTS TO: Data Administrator
HOURS: 30 hours per week
DAYS: Mon-Fri (flexible)
DURATION: 3 weeks (90 hours total) 

JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of the role is to summarise patient records and bring the patient information into the digital age.
• Ability to summarise patients records is essential
• Ability to read code is essential
• Respect Patient/Data Confidentiality
• Type Referrals and Reports (as necessary)
• Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
• Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way

DUTIES AND RSPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the Practice administration team include many or all of the tasks listed below. Duties may also be varied from time to time under the direction of the Senior Receptionist/Practice Manager, dependent on the practice needs, workload and staffing levels:
• Administration and Clerical Duties
• Processing Patient Data, Confidentiality
• Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
• Coding and Summarising, Filing and retrieval of paperwork
• Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures
• Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers
• Providing clerical assistance to Practice as required, including typing, filing, photocopying and scanning.
